After years of competition in England and New Zealand at National and International level, Max Millard decided to take his next step in Karate as a coach. With his knowledge of high level competition in WKF Karate, he offers a real, upto date insight into what it takes to become a champion.

Offering well over 30 years of karate experience, sensei Max Millard has learnt to have an open mind into the world of WKF competition karate. From this passion to compete around the world,he gained the insight to analyse what the best in the world have offer, and how to implement specific training to ensure our athletes has everything available to succeed.

With a vast kowledge and experience in both Kumite (fighting) and Kata (paterns), he offers world class teaching accross all disciplines.

WHO IS MAX MILLARD

1994

The start of the journey

in 1994 Max Millard started his Karate journey at 6 years old. Starting at a small Dojo in Hanwell, London with Sensei Anthony Haugh, Max struggled at first but then fell in love with the art.

2000

Higashi Karate Kai - First Dan

At age 12, Max Millard achieved his first dan in Higashi Karate Kai who practice the Wado Ryu Style of Karate. With Higashi Max was successful in both Kata and Kumite through the years

1997

WKC - World Karate Confederation - World Championship Locarno - Switzerland

After 3 years of training, Max was able to be selected for the Higashi National Squad, representing England at the 1997 WKC world championship in Wado Ryu Kata. Here he achieved a silver medal and his first International placing
